MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS

Measuring is the most important step.
Accurate measurements are the key to a great fit.
An error of 1 to 2" doesn't sound like much, right ... but think of this on a 10# delicate iggy.
We wouldn't be happy if our pants were 2 to 4" too large around the waist ... and we are far more than twice their size !

To be successful :
Use a plastic or cloth tailor's tape.
Pull the tape so that it is very SNUG.
Make sure Iggy is STANDING for all except F.
Follow the measurement's instruction, precisely.
Measuring is always easier if you have a helper as Iggies can be wiggly.
Please enter the exact value measured.   I will add the allowances needed for comfort and mobility.
If your iggy is a puppy , I will add extra allowances for growth where it is safe to do so.
And if you have a question, I am always here to help ... please contact me by email :  IGGYCOUTURE@GMAIL.COM
First : is the name you use to call Iggy. (This will be the name used for embroidery, if ordered). Last : is the Human's last name. (This is to help me organize the orders!).

Measure the narrowest part of the neck. This will be at the top of the neck...but behind the ears.
Measure the widest part of the neck...this will be where the neck attaches to the chest/body.
Measure around the main body right behind the front legs.
Measure around the main body or chest cavity at the largest circumference. This is usually about 3 fingers behind the front leg.
Measure around the narrowest part of the body...called the waist.

VERY IMPORTANT : 1) Lift Iggy's head high by gently lifting up on chin ... mark where the back of the neck attaches to the body. This is the starting point. 2) Lift Iggy's tail high ... mark where the front of the tail attaches to the body. This is the ending point. 3) Measure between the starting and ending point, and this is the back measurement.

Place Iggy in a sit, and measure the widest distance across the front.
Measure from where the leg attaches underneath the body (our armpit!) to the floor.

Please tell me the gender of the Iggy that I am sewing for.
